This proposal plan took lots of turns as we put the plan together, and thanks to the phenomenal Colonial Williamsburg staff, they were able to provide us with a quick and beautiful solution when our first venue was unexpectedly closed that day! The staff acted as if they were starting a personal tour, but really they were leading Melissa right to the front gate for Mitch to pop the question!
She said yes!
Of course, the museum staff were there to congratulate in full Colonial couture.
After Mitch proposed, we started their session in the front courtyard before moving to the gardens.
There are additional gardens behind the palace, including a hedge maze!
The forecast called for rain that day, but thankfully it held off until the very end of the session! I always bring a clear umbrella for my couples in case of weather, and it paid off today! We grabbed a few cozy, rainy photos before making a run for it.
We finished off with a quick picture on the stairway before making a run to our cars!
